The Euodynerus genus of Potter Wasps are wide spread throughout the United States.

Euodynerus megaera inhabits areas of the Eastern United States from Canada to Texas and Florida.

Many potter wasp species share a similar body shape with the paper wasp relatives. Euodynerus megaera follows that trend. The black body and white markings are distinctive for the species.
