Anthidium Bees

picture of an anthidium bee

Anthidium are a genus of bees known for females using the soft parts of fuzzy or woolly-leafed plants to line their nests.

The thirty some species in North America can have either yellow or white patterns on the body.

A first glance might bring some confusion between them and the blue-eyed digger bees. The bracket look of the pattern represents a physical difference to look for Anthidium species.
