The Pig-nosed turtle is a one of a kind turtle. It is the only member of the Carettochelydidae family.

It resides in the rivers of New Guinea and Northern Australia. You can see in the picture that it has flippers rather than claws for legs.

The picture does not show much detail for the nose, but a close-up inspection shows it resembles a pig's nose.
