African Daisy

picture of an African daisy also called a whirlygig

African daisies, those in the family Asteraceae, come in a variety of colors and shapes.

Like their counterparts around the world, many species are cultivated in gardens, and flourish in their native habitat.

The African daisy in the picture also goes by the name Cape Daisy.

It is a member of the Osteospermum genus and goes by the name whirlygig.

Many osteospermum are popular garden flowers in southern climates.
