Rock Squirrel

They are social animals that typically live in and around rocky habitat, including hillsides and cliffs.
Their diet consists primarily of seeds and nuts. However, they are opportunistic feeders and will climb trees for fruit and scavage for insects and dead animals.
Many different species of ground squirrels, including the California Ground Squirrel, share similar physical characteristics. They are generally large squirrels, with mottled gray and brown fur on the back.
