Meadow voles are also know as field mice.

They are found in a variety of grasslands and prairies.

Raptors, turtles, racoons and other predators in their territory are natural enemies. Staying well hidden in their underground burrows is one of the Meadow Vole's best defenses.

It looks as if there ears are hidden on the sides of their heads.
