Texas Olive (Cordia boissieri) is a large flowering shrub (or small tree) in the Forget-me-not family (Boraginaceae).
It's native to the Lower Rio Grande Valley and Mexico. The large white flowers are often present year round.
While the fruits, which resemble commercial olives, are edible, they are not edible like commercial olives. The tree is mostly planted for ornamental purposes.
