Low Menodora (Menodora heterophylla) is one of five species in the Menodora genus, part of the Olive Family (Oleaceae).

All the species are native to the Southwest, with the range of Low Menodora limited to Texas.

The name low reflects the fact that it grows low to the ground. It is also called redbud, because prior to flowering with yellow petals, the plant produces small red buds.
