Close to one hundred different species of sage in the Salvia genus of the mint family grow in the United States.

Autumn Sage (Salvia greggii) is a medium sized shrub with a natural range limited to Texas. It is also grown in surrounding states with warm climates.

The flowers can be red, pink or white.
