Setting up a recycling bin in this way often leads to confusion. Exactly which types of plastics should be placed in it?
Since all recycling centers accept different types of plastics, often a bin that accepts all plastics contains unwanted plastic materials.
Properly marked recycling bins help improve recycling rates.
Contrary to the first picture, the bin on the left provides little opportunity for plastics recycling confusion. It is clearly marked for plastic bottles with a #1 PETE stamp on them. They are the plastic bottles commonly used for beverages.
