The Red-capped Mangabey or White-collared Mangabey (Cercocebus torquatus) inhabits the canopies of the coastal forests of equatorial West Africa.
The common name Mangabey refers to, Mangabe, Madagascar, their export point of origin to the early European colonists.
They are medium sized monkeys, a bit taller than two feet in length, with a similarly long tail.
The picture highlights the patch of red fur on the top of the head.
