Western Sulphur

The Western Sulphur (Colias occidentalis) is on of about a half dozen native Northwest Colias species.

Its wings are bright yellow, and clear, with the exception of a spot on the underside of both the forewing and hindwing.

The larvae feed on plants in the pea family.
