Yellow-rumped Warbler

yellow-rumped warbler picture

Yellow-rumped warblers are fairly common throughout the United States.

While they are neotropical birds, there is also a population that winters in the United States.

The arrival of the migrant population is often considered a harbinger of spring. Traditionally they are among the first warblers to make their way north during migration.

Field identification is fairly simple.
