Cyclodena

picture of a lady beetle in the cyclodena genus

Cycloneda are a small genus of spotless lady beetles, with less than a handful of species identifited in the United States.

The Polished Lady Beetle (Cycloneda munda) is native to the Eastern United States. The Spotless Ladybird Beetle (Cycloneda sanguinea) is native to the Western United States.

There are also a handful of other genera with spotless species. Proper identification requires matching the facial pattern to the spotless wings.
