Banana Slug

The color is variable, some are less bright.
They are mollusks, soft-body invertebrates (no backbone). Unlike snails, another mollusk, they also lack an exoskeleton, or hard protective shell.
Banana Slugs are notable for being the second largest slug in the world and average six to eight inches in length.
They inhabit forest floors of the West Coast.
