Soda Creek Falls

picture of soda creek falls

Soda Creek Falls is a hidden waterfall gem, found at the top of hillside in Cascadia State Park.

The picture shows the bottom section of the falls from the base of the falls.

The three-quarter mile trail leading to the falls can be steep at some points. At the end of the trail, visitors have a choice of climbing up or down some rocks for an unobstructed view. The rocks can be a bit slippery in damp weather conditions.

In a former life, the park was well known as a health resort, famous for the mineral water emanating from the falls. Today, in addition to the waterfall hike, the park offers day use and overnight camping facilities.

The park is conveniently situated at the southern end of the Willamette Valley, on highway 20, 14 miles east of Sweet Home.
