Multnomah Falls, located just east of Portland, OR, on the Columbia River Gorge, is often touted as Oregon's top tourist attraction.
There are literally hundreds of waterfalls located throughout western Oregon, with climate and geography contributing to the waterfall extravaganza. In the simplest terms, water coupled with a place to fall, constitute the basic waterfall recipe. Oregon's legendary annual rainfall and mountains make for perfect waterfall conditions.
