Newport, OR, located on the Central Oregon Coast, offers visitors a variety of entertainment options, including a first class aquarium and two different lighthouses, Yaquina Bay and Yaquina Head.

Yaquina Head lighthouse is Oregon's tallest lighthouse and it is still used as a navigation tool.

The lighthouse sits on Yaquina Head Outstanding Natural Area, a patch of coastal land managed by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM).

Visitors can spend the day hiking, tidepooling, picnicking and relaxing. At last count, there was a $5/car entrance fee, and the BLM has proposed raising it to $7/car.
