Clearwing Moths

picture of a clearwing moth

The translucent wings on moths in the Seiidae family explains the group's common name, Clearwing Moths.

Members of the Family tend to be day flying moths, with thin abdomens resembling wasps or bees.

They nectar on flowers and a close-up view of the feathered antennae serve as a goo field identification clue.
