Western Starflower

picture of western starflower

Western Starflowers (Trientalis latifolia) or Pacific Starflowers, are small ground cover plants in the primrose family (Primulaceae).

They grow in forested areas of the Pacific Northwest, south to central California.

The flowers are white to pink in color, and they have anywhere from five to seven pointed petals.

It's most notable for its looks and very little is written about the plant's edibility.
