Checker mallow or checkerbloom is a fairly large genus (Sidalcea) of flowering plants in the mallow family (Malvaceae).

The vast majority of species are native to the Western United States.

Many of the species grow in meadows and grass fields associated with wetlands or riparian areas. Depending on the species, petal colors ranges from purple to pink.

The genus is also characterized by the multiple flowers blooming on a single stem. They are known to attract butterflies.
