Tree lizards (Urosaurus ornatus) are small lizards that make their home in the Southwest.

As the name implies, they are capable climbers.

The above picture shows a tree lizard on a tree. Their color scheme blends well with the bark.

Males have a blue throat and belly.

Their diet consists primarily of insects.

Another group of lizards found in tropical areas, the anoles, are often generically labeled tree lizards.
