It's a member of the honeysuckle family, commonly found growing low to the ground in forest areas along the Northern United States.
The double pink shaded flowers growing on a single stem differentiate it from almost all other flowers in its range.
It grows fairly easy, making it a nice late spring and early summer cultivated flower and grond cover for woodlots.
