Spring Starflower

picture of a spring starflower

Spring Starflowers (Triteleia uniflora), a native South American lily, is both a spring garden favorite and a now naturalized plant in some areas of the West and South.

The single blooming flower grows on a stem with typical thin, green lily leaves. Typically they reach a height of approximately six inches.

Once planted, a small group of flowers can form large colonies over a short time.

Depending on the source, suitable USDA Hardiness Zones for the plant range from 6-10, with the lower and higher zones extreme picks.
