Hellebores (Helleboru), a genus of flowering plants in the buttercup family native to Europe, are swiftly becoming a garden favorite in the United States.

Mountain woodlands are their native habitat, however, they will grow in almost any shady corner of a garden in Depending on the climate, they are known as late winter and early spring bloomers, with long lasting flowers.
