The Speckled Crab (Arenaeus cribrarius) a medium sized swimming crab, lives on or near most of the East Coast and Gulf of Mexico.
It belongs to the same family (Portunidae) as the better known, and commercially popular, Blue Crab (Callinectes sapidus).
