Grapes on the Vine

picture of grapes on the vine

Grapes grow on vines and have a cultivation history almost as long as the history of human civilizations.

There are over fifty different grape varieties grown in the United States. Most of the grape harvest goes to the wine industry.

Grapes are an adequate source of Vitamin C, but most people enjoy them for their sweet taste.

The average American consumes 56.8 pounds of grapes per year, making them the second favorite fruit, behind oranges.
