They are mountain dwelling treefrogs, found near streams and other water bodies in central Arizona. There's no mistaking them for any other frog in their range.
Their high altitute habitat means they are usually active only during the late spring and summer.
The Arizona Treefrog is the state ambhibian of Arizona.
