A hike along many of California's forested slopes, from north to south, brings with it the pleasure of seeing the uncommon Snowdrop Bush (Styrax officinalis var. redivivus) in bloom.

This native California shrub enjoys a solid fan base as a landscape plant.

It is drought tolerant, and apart from being incompatible with water soaked soils, it is adaptable to a variety of soil conditions.
