Oregon Grape (Mahonia aquifolium), also commonly known as hollyleaved barberry, is a member of the Barberry family, (Berberidaceae).

It is an evergreen West Coast native shrub, also found in some states east of the Mississippi. The leaves are thick and waxy, with clusters of yellow flowers that bloom early in spring.

Native Americans used the roots and berries for food and medicinal purposes, although the berries lean to the tart side.

Oregon Grape is the official state flower of Oregon.
