Florida Tassleflower

picture of a red florida tasselflower

The small red caps of the Florida Tasselflower (Emilia fosbergii) easily catch the eyes of the insects and humans that cross its path along fields and roadsides of southern areas int he United States.

It is a non-native plant in the daisy family that was introduced from Asia.

Some plants can produce pink flowers. The red flowers stand out.
