Baby Blue Eyes

picture of a baby blue eyes flower

Baby Blue Eyes (Nemophila menziesii) are small flowers in the waterleaf family (Hydrophyllaceae).

There are three different variants of the flower, with the most commonly recognized variant having blue petals. The picture shows the atomaria variant with whiter petals speckled with blue dots.

Baby Blue Eyes are native flowers of California and Oregon and begin blooming in March. They grow in a couple of different habitats, including coastal scrub regions and inland meadows.
