Westfir Covered Bridge
Gallery Home :: Covered Bridge Pictures Home :: Next Picture

The Westfir Covered Bridge was built in 1944 by the Westfir Lumber Company to connect its offices and lumber mill.
Westfir is a small community just east of the Cascade Mountains off Hwy 58. It is also on the West Cascades National Scenic Byway.
The bridge is notable for being the longest covered bridge in Oregon (180 feet) and having a separate walkway through it.
The angle of this picture shows it crossing a fork of the Willamette River.
