Cinnebar caterpillars are considered beneficial because they feed on Ragwort, a wildflower that is toxic to livestock, and their introduction is often planned Ragwort strategy.
The yelflow and black stripes make for fairly easy identification.
After metamorphosis, the Cinnebar Moth transforms into an equally unique looking black and red winged insect.
