They make their homes in abandoned dens on the fields and mountains of Central Asia.
In addition to their small size, their physical features include long, thick hair, which keeps them warm during their night hunts for Pika, rodents and birds.
Population levels are unknown and the IUCN lists them as a near threatened species.
