Giant Panda

giant panda picture

The Giant Panda (Ailuropoda melanoleuca), a resident of China, is arguably the most recognized bear in the world. They have unusually large white heads with black eyes, and they are short legs.

Their habitat is temperate forests in mountains of western China. These forests have bamboo, which accounts for ninety-nine percent of their diet.

Giant Pandas are listed as endangered.
