They typically grow in small clusters along coastal bluffs and grass areas located behind beach areas.
When they grow in bunches, the pink color flowers are easy to spot. The picture shows an up close view of the multiple flowers produced on a single stem.
Seapinks are not listed as toxic, however, there is little record of their use as a food source for humans or wildlife.
